Rotating Machinery

Technical Integrity Engineering

Equipment on offshore installations and in process plants is always subjected to dynamic forces. These forces can induce vibrations that contribute to the degradation of the equipment. A systematic monitoring of the behaviour of the equipment provides valuable input to the decision-making process related to maintenance. The monitoring is a valuable tool for making the right decisions related to preventive maintenance. With such a system, preventive maintenance is based on conditions rather than time-intervals. Condition-based preventive maintenance is very cost and time efficient. Based on Axess’ Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology we are able to plan and perform route-based inspection programmes for rotating machinery and other systems/components that are subject to dynamic forces.

Rotating Equipment Troubleshooting

Vibration problems are at times complex and call for a systematic approach. A trouble-shooting process often involves advanced measurements of several physical quantities. Axess has experience in solving vibration problems involving e.g. rotordynamic problems, resonances, structure vibrations, pressure pulsations etc.
